As Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets on Tuesday to advance to the Asia Cup 2022 Super 4 stage, Najibullah Zadran stole the show. Afghanistan was at 62 for 3 and struggling to go past a 128-run target when Najibullah and Ibrahim Zadran arrived on the field. The two then put together an unbroken 69-run partnership off only 33 balls to easily guide Afghanistan to victory. Ibrahim struck an unbeaten 42 from 41 balls, and Najibullah hit a spectacular 43 not out off 17 balls.
So Najibullah smashed one four and six sixes in his innings, including a strong six that ended the game. As a result, the Afghanistans locker room exploded in celebration after Najibullah scored the winning runs. Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman early three wickets allowed Afghanistan to limit Bangladesh to 127 for 7. Before Rashid Khan used it to further harm Bangladesh. Mujeeb Ur Rahman set the tone for Afghanistan by hitting three times.
