Roger Federer Big suggestion

“Better To Stop If Not Competitive Anymore,” advises Roger Federer.

Roger Federer hasn’t played since losing in the Wimbledon quarterfinals the previous year.

Swiss tennis sensation Roger Federer lost to Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets at Wimbledon in 2017, which was the last time he took part in a competitive match. The 40-year-old is healing after undergoing his third knee surgery in 18 months. The 20-time Grand Slam champion’s absence at Wimbledon this year has increased questions over whether he will ever play again. Federer’s remarks that he no longer “needs” tennis and is happy with “the simple things” have fueled speculation that he may soon quit.

“Even though I enjoy winning, if you’re no longer competitive, it’s preferable to stop. Tennis is not essential, in my opinion. Federer was quoted by Eurosport as saying to the Dutch daily Algemeen Dagblad. “For example, when my son performs well or when my daughter comes home with a good grade, I am happy.

“Tennis is part of my identity, but it’s not everything,” he concluded.

“I put a lot of work into business because I want to be successful and stay that way. Possibly more than I should sometimes, but it can be done outside of sports,” he remarked.

“I know a professional career can’t last forever and that’s okay,” Federer remarked.
