Australia Appoint New Assistant Coach Daniel Vettori

On Tuesday, Australian cricket coach Andrew McDonald hired Daniel Vettori as an assistant coach. McDonald praised McDonald’s knowledge and experience as a former New Zealand captain.

Daniel Vettori is the new assistant coach for Australia.

Vettori, an all-rounder, played in 113 Tests and 295 one-day internationals for New Zealand. McDonald also worked with him at the Indian Premier League’s Royal Challengers Bangalore. He will remain the head coach of the Birmingham Phoenix in England’s The Hundred. The Australian team is “a really powerful and united group,” Vettori remarked.
