Cheteshwar Pujara continues to display fantastic county form as he adds another century.

Indian Test player Cheteshwar Pujara continued his blistering play for Sussex in the County Championship by scoring his fifth century of the year. Pujara was therefore chosen to serve as Sussex’s acting captain in place of the injured Tom Haines. So Pujara led his team to 328/4 at Stump’s against Middlesex by scoring his century in 144 deliveries and finishing Day 1 of the match unbeaten on 115. Pujara has already scored 500 points in seven games this season, including two double-tones and an unbeatable total of 170.

Tom Alsop dismissed Sussex for 135 runs before he had scored another brilliant century.
Umesh Yadav, a fellow countryman who joined Middlesex to replace Shaheen Shah Afridi, competed against Pujara.
Despite without taking a wicket, the Indian pacer was his team’s most effective bowler.
Pujara so started his County career against Derbyshire with scores of 6 and 201* and then backed that up against Worcestershire with 109 and 12.
He continued his run against Durham and scored 203 points.
Following that, he fell to Middlesex in the first innings by 16 runs but came back strong to score an unbeaten 170 runs in the second essay.
